- Dr. Peter Kittel of Amiga Technologies posted here last week (sorry, I
- don't have the article number) stating that NO version of the Amiga OS
- was or ever would be in the Public Domain, Freely Distributable, or
- anything else other than Commercial.

-
- They didn't "move" anywhere. Amiga Technologies GmbH was *created* in
- Germany.
-
- As for where to "look," a simple query asking for the address usually
- gets a decent response from someone.

-
- C= UK was a subsidiary of Commodore Business Machines International, and
- did NOT own the rights to the Amiga OS, or any Kickstart images. Unless
- permission came from the Top bosses in C=, it was ILLEGAL for CU Amiga
- to distribute the Kickstart image (if they did so... I don't know).
-
- Now, the rights to the Amiga OS (including Kickstart images) are owned
- by ESCOM, AG, in Germany, and administrated by their daughter company,
- Amiga Technologies GmbH, also in Germany.
